About Me
The Beginnings
I grew up with both mountains and ocean in the mix from the start — born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and raised in Boulder, Colorado. Our home was filled with music, art, metaphysics, and celebrations. My parents had their struggles, but they also taught my sister and me that we could create our own lives without necessarily following the conventional path.
I took that belief to heart!
Music was my first big passion, so after studying vocal performance at the University of Colorado, I headed west to see where it would take me.
I spent much of my twenties city-hopping up and down the California coast — singing, surfing, and bookkeeping in San Diego; working on movie sets and dancing with friends in the gay bars of West Hollywood.
I also studied electronic music at UCLA before immersing myself in San Francisco's Castro, Haight-Ashbury, and North Beach neighborhoods, where I worked as a graphic designer at a boutique architecture firm while becoming a certified massage therapist.
There were earthquakes, fires, mudslides, riots, car accidents, and breakups — but also some of the best friendships, wildest adventures, and most memorable years of my life.
Even if it's exhausting just thinking about it!
The Great Unraveling
Then, at 28, after losing my mom to uterine cancer and having my emotional foundation knocked out from under me, I spun headfirst into what I now refer to as The Great Unraveling — also known as the healing years.
It began with a brief but potent chapter in New York City — my mom's dream, really. I didn't realize at the time that I might have been trying to live it for her. About six months after arriving, I witnessed 9/11 from less than a mile away… and everything shifted.
Looking back, I can see how much I carried her with me through what came next… saying yes to the things she didn't get to.
In the months that followed, I sold and gave away almost everything I owned and stepped into a wild, nomadic stretch — traveling the world, learning from indigenous cultures and spiritual teachers, and exploring different approaches to healing and personal transformation.
From Machu Picchu and Stonehenge to the temples of North India and Japan, the spice markets of Morocco, healing evenings under the stars with my Māori friends and mentors in New Zealand, and solo travels through Australia — I began shedding layers I didn't even know were there.
Along the way, I created businesses and offerings inspired by what I was learning — from bodywork and intuitive space design to wellness and cleanses. The work helped support my nomadic lifestyle and fund my next adventure.
I also studied Feng Shui at New York's Open Center and Reiki in India, and became a certified health educator through the Hippocrates Health Institute.

Coming in for a Landing (Sort Of)
In 2013, I met my husband, Cole — and the whole equation changed.
We fell in love, got married, and I became a bonus mom to his two kids, Lexi, who was 13, and MoMo, who was 7. I've since had the joy of officially adopting MoMo. ❤️
I joined Cole's rock ’n’ roll band, he joined my juice business, and we've basically been making love, juice, and music ever since!
These days, we're happily rooted in Marin County. I'm writing Memoir-ish, photographing wildlife, volunteering as a nature guide for school kids, and bringing Life Cleanse back in a new form — a whole-life reset that brings together much of what I've learned along the way.
I'm also working on my latest assignment from the universe: relaxing more, doing less, and accepting that sometimes just being is enough.
(Still working on that one.)
A Few Random Things About Me...
🧩 I’ve been asking big existential questions since I was old enough to talk. My poor mom answered thousands of them over the years. I have a feeling she would’ve loved Google.
🚀 I was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where my dad worked for the aerospace division of Pan Am during the Apollo era. I was only two, but apparently I used to watch rockets launch into space from the beach outside our apartment.
🎧 My playlists can go from Depeche Mode to Ram Dass to trance music to folk in about fifteen minutes.
🐦 I stop for birds. And mushrooms. And moss. And really interesting clouds. My husband has learned to expect frequent, completely unplanned photo stops.
🌀 If you’ve ever wanted to pull a few oracle cards, pour a cup of chai, and talk about consciousness, synchronicities, dreams, metaphysics, or one of life’s great mysteries, we’ll most definitely get along.
🎩 I grew up around magicians. My best friend and I put on magic shows for my sister and the neighborhood kids. We also produced roller skating shows, dance performances, gymnastics routines, piano recitals… basically, if we could dream it up, we turned it into a show.
🏔️ As a kid in Boulder, Colorado, when I wasn’t putting on shows, I spent my days climbing rocks, wandering creeks, swimming nonstop, riding bikes with the neighborhood kids, building forts, and spending as much time outside as possible. Nature was my sanctuary long before I knew it.
🚗 My first car was a carnation pink VW Bug. It was the ’80s. It fit me perfectly.
🎶 I was deep in the New Wave scene in high school, then completely fell into the rave scene in my twenties. I even sang in a techno band that played raves around San Diego. For the past fourteen years or so, I’ve also been singing with my husband’s rock ‘n’ roll band here in Marin.
🧢 My mom used to sew giant Cat in the Hat hats for us to sell at raves, where you’d usually find me in one of my many pairs of overalls and bodysuits, dancing until sunrise.
🏄♀️ My twenties in California were all over the place to say the least. I surfed in San Diego, danced with friends in the gay bars of West Hollywood, worked on movie sets in Los Angeles, and rarely missed a street fair or Pride celebration in San Francisco.
🎬 I worked as an extra and had a few tiny speaking parts in TV shows and movies, including Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Forrest Gump, and even a Pizza Hut commercial. If you blinked, you probably missed me.
🎤 I met Madonna once because my roommate worked at the law firm representing her. My teenage self never recovered!
🌈 When I eventually settled in San Francisco, I lived in both the Castro and Haight-Ashbury, became a certified Swedish massage therapist, and had a holistic massage practice. Then I landed a job at a boutique architecture firm, learned graphic design on the job, and completely fell in love with it.
💻 That eventually led me into San Francisco’s dot-com boom. The startup I worked for took over an old nightclub, had a hot tub on the roof, a full bar in the office, and our marketing department worked right on the old dance floor. It was such a fun, weird era to be part of.
🌪️ My twenties included earthquakes, fires, mudslides, riots, breakups, a couple car accidents, losing my mother, witnessing 9/11 from less than a mile away, and more reinventions than I can count. Looking back, I’m amazed any of us survived our twenties.
🌍 After my mom died, I sold or gave away almost everything I owned and spent several years living nomadically around the world. That chapter changed me more than any other, and many of the stories you’ll find here grew out of those years.
🏡 Along the way, I started a feng shui-inspired business called Space Matters. I helped people clear, reorganize, redesign, and rethink their homes, creating space for the next chapter of their lives.
🧃 I somehow ended up owning a cleansing and wellness company called Green Your Spirit, where I guide cleanses and support people in feeling healthier and more alive. It’s definitely not something my teenage self saw coming.
🍅 I’ve spent decades exploring and guiding others in wellness and nutrition, but what nourishes me most is sharing deep conversations, connections, and maybe a few too many “out there” ideas with people I love. And yes… I also have a soft spot for the occasional French fry and glass of bubbly while traveling.
♨️ If a place has natural hot springs, volcanoes, dramatic coastlines, wildlife, rainbows, whales, bioluminescence, funky little bookstores and cafés, or incredible hiking, I’m probably already planning my return trip.
🇮🇸 I feel strangely at home in Iceland. I can’t really explain it. Maybe it’s the little bit of Viking DNA somewhere in my family tree, but whatever it is, that place feels deeply familiar.
🌗 I’ve noticed I’m almost always drawn to both sides of life. I love exploring the world and coming home. I love deep solitude and long conversations. I want to dissolve into pure awareness… and I also want to experience this wild, beautiful human life as fully as I can. Smack in the middle of all those seeming contradictions is where I feel most like myself.
